Mr. Areman received his undergraduate degree from Hamilton College in 1996 and his law degree from the George Washington University National Law Center in 2003.  Prior to joining Markowitz and Richman, he served as a National Negotiator for the National Treasury Employees Union in Washington, DC .  Mr. Areman has also previously worked in the legal departments of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and the American Federation of Teachers, both in Washington, DC .   His practice focuses on the representation of public and private sector labor unions and individual employees in negotiations, arbitration and litigation.
